Seminar/ Symposium : On important environmental, geographical, and geological days and on contemporary international issues. We organise seminars, symposiums, and workshops. Like last year, we celebrated Ozone Day on the 16th of September to inform UG & PG students about the significance of the ozone layer for the biosphere. The ozone layer absorbs 97% to 99% of the sun’s incoming ultraviolet radiation (UV-B). This is fundamental to protecting life on Earth’s surface from exposure to harmful levels of this radiation. On this occasion, the keynote speaker was renowned Environmentalist Dr. M. D. Singh
